MOUAU Cautions UTME 2025 Applicants on Fraudulent Admission Offers

The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has issued a stern warning to 2025 UTME candidates and their parents about fraudulent admission offers circulating online. The scam particularly targets candidates with JAMB scores of 150 and above.
In a statement, Registrar Dr. Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor revealed that unknown individuals are promoting fake admissions into the College of Management Sciences (COLMAS), claiming they can secure undergraduate placements for candidates with 150+ scores. These offers, mostly shared on social media, are not authorized by the university.
MOUAU emphasized that no official cut-off marks for 2025 admissions have been released, as both the university and JAMB are still finalizing admission requirements. Candidates are therefore advised to rely only on the official MOUAU website for verified information.
On the bright side, the university confirmed that all undergraduate programmes under COLMAS — Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Marketing, and Business Administration — are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and now officially listed on the JAMB portal.
Students and parents are reminded that engaging with fake agents can lead to financial loss, missed admission opportunities, and delays in academic progress.
